Reflection I am learning to relate to the characters in the text to understand their purpose. I found it tricky to connect to my life because my brothers and sisters don't do these kind of things.

Tapa Cloth Art

Reflection
I was learning about the significance of tapa cloth. I made my own tapa by using patterns and designs. I used used a shell and flowers for my design. My pattern was a third brown dye, a third black vivid and a third brown paper. I enjoyed drawing the flowers for my tapa. Next time I could be more careful with planning my art.

Persuasive Writing

Smoking Should Stop

My Reflection: I was learning to write, plan and present a persuasive speech. My success criteria were: - I have an introduction, conclusion, and three paragraphs each giving a reason to support my main argument - each of my paragraphs are at least three sentences long - I have researched and included facts to back up my argument. I used persuasive language. - I speak loudly and clearly to my audience - my speech is between 2 and 3 minutes long. I think I achieved my success criteria because I did all the things that the success criteria told me to do. Next time I write or present a speech I will need to work on

Time

Reflection
I am learning to express time on analogue clocks. I think I still need to practice on this activity because I don't really know about time.

 I was learning to use strategies to add more detail to my writing. I found it easy because I found more adjectives to make my work more interesting. I wasn't that sure about taste because taste doesn't really make sense to me.

Cindy Limpics

Reflection
I was learning to answer a range of comprehension questions. I found Cindy Limpics hard because It had lots of questions and the questions were hard.

Hockey Skills

Reflection I was learning to play hockey. I found hockey skills tricky because I have never played hockey before and the skills were really hard. I enjoyed doing the Indian juggling because it is easy and tricky at the same time. Next I want to keep on practicing hockey skills until I really know how to play.

Bonds To Ten

Reflection I am learning to combine numbers to make ten. I found it easy because I added the biggest number and then I found the number that adds the biggest number to make a ten. Next time I should try and do strategies to solve the biggest number to get the answer.

Rio Olympics Comprehension Questions

Reflection I am leaning to answer a range of comprehension questions. I found it tricky because I had to skim and scam to find the answer to the questions. I learned that the five rings were interlinking rings and there coluors are Blue, Yellow, Black, Green and Red. Next time I need to work faster and focus on my work.

What Am I?

 Reflection I was learning to measure my body parts in metres and centimetres. I found it easy because we had to measure your partners body and my own body. Now I would like to learn about millimetres.

Matariki Presentation

Reflection I learning to research information about Matariki. I found it tricky because I had to make sure to do three or four sentences and also I need to find more information. Next time I have to work on finding good information and putting it in my own words.

Recount Inquiry Launch

Reflection I was learning to write a recount using paragraph. I was able to put a new idea in a new paragraphs. I need to keep working on my ending paragraph.

Reflection I found it hard because I had to find out what the meaning of words and main information in the book.

I found this easy  because you can start from the shortest number then the I add the same amount over and over again.

I am learning to write a bio poem. I found the brainstorm tricky because you have to write facts that describes you.
Next time I will work on checking my work and spelling it correctly.
